Hospital Description

Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington, is a Level II Trauma Center serving Northwest Washington since 1905. The flagship hospital of the Providence Health & Services, Providence Regional Medical Center belongs to one of the largest faith-based healthcare systems in the pacific northwest. A 571 bed facility, the medical center spans two campuses, the Colby Campus and the Pacific Campus. The facility employs around 1,000 physicians on staff and includes an ICU, CCU, Pavilion for Women and Children, and Breast Center.

25 miles north of Seattle, Everett is the seventh-largest city in Washington and is considered a bedroom community for Seattle, providing easy access via public transportation to downtown Seattle. Home to several minor league sports teams, Everett is often described as a “largely blue-collar city,” but includes a wide range of regional arts. The Historic Everett Theatre hosts local and touring shows, seating 834. The economy is centered around aerospace manufacturing, being home to a Boeing factory. Any nurse coming to the city with a car should head to Whidbey Island for the day, especially with a ferry being right there(yes you can drive your car on the ferry)! And if you’re a travel nurse that is into hiking, head east for the cascade mountains, that will always provide you with a good hike. Lastly, this city is a 2 hour drive away from the Canadian border! So don’t forget your passport, and take a little weekend gateway to Vancouver.
